The Victorian Healthy Homes Program recently found that upgrading your home's heating system can also deliver savings in relation to healthcare by making the home more comfortable during winter. The video below is a great example of how those with complex healthcare needs can save significantly on healthcare through these types of home upgrades.

System Cost

There may be multiple rebates available to you, so it is important to seek quotes from reputable accredited providers of the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program.

The cost of the new system will vary based on the provider, product quality, system size, and ease of installation. The VEU Space Heating Fact Sheet provides information on the size of system you'll need, as well as other considerations.

The rebate you receive will depend on your heating / cooling system, the efficiency of the new product, and whether or not you qualify for other government rebates.

In general, you could expect to pay between $1,000 - $8,000 for a new system after the rebates have been applied. Try out the savings calculator to view potential energy savings per year.
